When Spain speaks, Europe and the world listen.
That was one of the key takeaways from this week’s European Pulse Forum by POLITICO and beBartlet in Barcelona.
We presented the results of one of the most ambitious studies conducted in Europe in recent years alongside Cluster17 España, joining forty global speakers, ten nationalities, five hundred attendees, and eighty media outlets. The goal? To bridge the gap between citizens, institutions, and businesses through high-level keynotes and a parallel agenda designed to drive Europe’s major transformations.
Two Vice-Presidents of the European Commission, Teresa Ribera and Stéphane Séjourné, and a total of three European Commissioners; the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, and the President of the People’s Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo; the Vice-President of Spain, Yolanda Díaz; three sitting ministers from European countries and a large group of former ministers with a global vision; MEPs like Dolors Montserrat, Javi López, Míchel Szerba or Borja Giménez Larraz; diplomats; and a strong representation of Presidents and CEOs from major companies and industries, including Maarten Wetselaar, Beatriz Corredor Sierra, Fina Lladós Canela, and Benoit Tabaka.
We were also joined by ministers and former ministers from countries like Germany, Italy, Estonia, Slovakia, or the Prime Minister of Montenegro, as well as the President of the Government of Catalunya, Salvador Illa Roca, and the Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni Cuadrado. Together, they accompanied us in a true milestone for building the European public conversation.
It’s been four decades since Spain joined the European Union. It took forty years to prove that we are no longer just ‘following’ the European conversation. POLITICO and beBartlet have teamed up to be architects of a new reality.
Because we are leading it.
The European Pulse Forum by POLITICO and beBartlet is supported by Moeve, Barcelona City Council, Generalitat de Catalunya, EFPIA – European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations, Google, Redeia, and Fundación ”la Caixa”.
